DocToHTML is a MS Word plug-in that converts Word documents into HTML.
DocToHtml is a plug-in for MS Word. It processes DOC, RTF and TXT documents into HTML. The software produces HTML 4.01 and is W3C compliant. The HTML produced is small and user customizable, if required. It will process a batch of documents through the GUI or the command line interface. The GUI is a clean and straightforward one. It lets you create a list of the files/folders that you want to process at a time. You have the controls to change the order too. Beside this list covering half the display area you have the other half given over to a log display. You get log messages as the files are processed. Logs messages appear when a file is opened and when the processing is complete. If the conversion causes an error, you’ll get an error message instead of a clean conversion.
Very concise code is generated by the software and user has control on the conversion process. Image use is simplified; the format can be selected from among GIF, PNG or JPEG. Met tags can be inserted into the resultant HTML. External CSS can be linked if need be. Detailed control about on low level details like insert optional end tags, quotes, spaces, line-breaks, and some other settings are available. This tool then is able to provide you with an easy tool to create HTML pages. You create the documents with the convenience of Word and then just get it converted, tweaking if necessary. Large documents can be split at headings. This is quite a handy tool if you need to produce HTML pages often.
